Kelsey Youmans has been privileged to work alongside the highly acclaimed photographer Lex Barberio for the last five years, producing stunning exhibitions at renowned venues in New York such as CitizenM Hotel and Xposed Gallery on the High Line. Kelsey's meticulous planning and coordination of Lex's shoots, combined with her ability to think on the spot, have contributed to the immense success of these exhibitions and she can’t wait for more meaningful art to come!
LET'S BREAK IT DOWN
THE AMBISEXTROUSTo expand the definition of beauty and LGBTQ+ acceptance, the photographic exhibition celebrates and explains gender fluidity through a binary lens to bridge the knowledge gap between those within the queer community and those outside of it. Kelsey produced the week of shoots along with the opening exhibition at CitizenM Hotel in Times Square.
UNDERSTANDING METhe queer experience is different for each person, and often, their experiences carry out and touch the people closest to them. Understanding Me is an ongoing photo and video series that started in 2021, exploring the thoughts, feelings, emotions, and physical experiences of the LGBTQ+ community. The series exists as a bridge from person to person to help us all understand each other better.
PORTRAITSSet on the Highline of NYC, this moving exhibition featured a video of Lex Barberio’s work until now. The photographs were displayed on a wall in video format and shown to all who walked down the famous landmark of the High Line. After great success, the exhibition was extended, adding more eyes to the incredible work.
